Müller has added yoghurts to the line-up under its new One a Day banner.
The initiative, unveiled last week, offers an alternative way to eat one of the recommended five daily portions of fruit and veg.
Going into chillers at the end of the month, the yoghurt's layer format also brings another point of difference to the category.
Each 175g pot contains a fruit coulis layer, topped with Müller Corner yoghurt, with a separate portion of fruit compôte. Five combinations come in four 175g packs (rsp: £2). Three varieties are also available in 58p single pots that come with a spoon, for eating on the go.
Chris McDonough, marketing and R&D director, said: "Consumers are looking for a convenient 'route to fruit' and they are prepared to pay a premium for that." A £5m campaign kicks off in September and will include TV ads, a website, sampling and inserts into Corner multipacks.
