Müller UK has signed up to the government-backed Courtauld Commitment, joining the growing number of food companies to have pledged to help reduce packaging and food waste by 340,000 tonnes by 2010.

Müller is to work with the Waste & Resources Action Programme (Wrap) to explore using plastic packaging and labelling from recycled sources. "The Commitment will help us speed up our environmental programme," said CEO Stewart Gilliland.
