New serveover trialled at JS Sainsbury is trialing a new style of serveover counter for meat and fish in its newly revamped Central store in Camberley, Surrey. The counters feature a split level design. In the bottom of each unit, customers are offered prepacked meat or fish. The top of both units houses selected cuts of meat or fish. Both units are compact and located next to each other in the deli area of the store allowing multi-skilled staff to operate the whole area. Sainsbury wants to see it the units will allow it to offer a counter service in smaller stores ­ and make it work. {{MEAT }}
