A limited-edition range of mushroom-infused butters and crème frâiche has been unveiled by Isigny Sainte-Mère for the Christmas market.

The French dairy co-op has developed a crème frâiche with truffles, one with ceps and one with morels. It has also launched a Camembert with truffles and a three-portion sampling pack of butters flavoured with ceps, morels and truffles respectively.

The butters, which are presented in Isigny-branded porcelain dishes, would prove popular with lovers of fine food looking for premium products with character, originality, and provenance, predicted Isigny Sainte-Mère.

The products are made with Appelation d'Origine Protégée butter, crème fraîche and Camembert, and French-grown funghi. The range will be available from 15 November but no listings have yet been confirmed.
