What is your favourite
restaurant? A little shack on a beach near St Raphael in the south of France. It's very casual, very unglamorous, but has brilliant food and wine.
Do you prefer healthy food or junk food? I go for real food; pure, organic and simple.
Have you ever sent back or complained about a meal? I'm afraid I do this regularly - politely, but regularly!
What would you request as your final meal? A hot goat's cheese salad, fish, and fresh fruit, washed down with champagne and Sancerre.
What would you rescue if your house was burning down? My children, my photograph albums and my files of "tried and tested" recipes.
What are you reading at the moment? Small Island by Andrea Levy.
What gadgets do you carry with you? An iPod Nano, which I am just getting used to.
What was the last film you saw at the cinema?
The James Bond film.
What are your pet hates? World injustice, junk food, the lack of preventative medicine in this country, bad grammar and drivers who don't say thank you when you let them out.
What's the best holiday you've ever had? A week in Biarritz with my children.
Do you prefer rugby, football or cricket? I come from the village where cricket was invented, so it has to be cricket.
What's your motto for life?
I like the Adidas strapline
"Impossible is nothing".
