What's your favourite ­restaurant? Lambs in Stratford-upon-Avon. Cosy with great food and good service.

Do you prefer healthy food or junk food? Generally healthy, but if I have a hang­over I can't resist junk food.

What's your favourite ­tipple? Havana Club seven-year-old rum with ginger beer.

Have you ever sent back or complained about a meal? I once ordered a chicken curry in Cambodia and it came out as a soup with chicken feet sticking out and feathers still attached. Couldn't quite get the waiter to see the problem, so I gave up and asked for a salad.

What would you rescue if your house was burning? My photographs and my shoes... after my flatmate, of course.

What's your fantasy car... and what do you drive? In fantasy land, a VW Golf R32. In reality, a Renault Clio.

What are you reading? The Oracle Night by Paul Auster.

What gadgets do you carry around? I'm never without my phone and my Ipod.

What was the last film you went to see at the cinema? The Inside Man - quirky, with plenty of twists.

What are your pet hates? Liars, traffic wardens, public transport and dodgy ringtones.

What's the best holiday you've ever had? Six months travelling around Australia.
