Position: Marketing director, spirits and wines Company: Pernod Ricard The job: Davis fills a newly created position reflecting Pernod Ricard's growing portfolio of premium brands and increased focus on marketing and brand support. He is one of three main executive board members. The others are chief executive officer Paul Duffy and commercial director Ian Tottman. Davis will manage brands such as Martell, Jameson and Jacob's Creek. He will supervise a restructured spirits and wine team including three marketing heads with marketing and brand managers under them. Davis said: "After the Seagram deal, my appointment is part of a natural restructure in view of the brands we have taken on." Duffy added: "The professionalism and wealth of experience that Mark has to offer will ensure our customers and brand owners receive the best possible marketing support." Background: Davis was previously marketing director for spirits. He began his career at independent brewer Charles Wells before he moved to Maison Carette to become a sales agent for its beer brands. He went on to Remy Cointreau in 1995, where he worked on the Remy Martin account. He joined Pernod Ricard in 1996, starting as marketing manager for Irish whiskeys.
