Position: General manager, milks business unit Company: Nestlé UK The job: McAdam will take responsibility for Nestlé's new milks business unit, which was created following the sale of select Nestlé food brands to Premier Foods. The newly formed unit combines all functions involved in the milks business, from production and supply chain to finance and commercial. McAdam said: "This integrated team approach will enable the unit to develop a consumer focused strategy that will put real growth into this category." Background: McAdam joined Rowntree in 1990 as general manager for its Glasgow factory, which produced Blue Riband and Breakaway, before becoming head of the supply chain re-engineering team for Nestlé UK in 1994. In 1996 he moved to the role of director of group distribution, operations and fleet services, where he was responsible for warehousing and distribution of ambient, frozen and chilled products. In April 2000 he became director of customer logistics, a position he held until moving to his present role.
