British Cheese Board members have been celebrating their success at this year’s Nantwich Cheese Show.

Against stiff competition from both UK and international cheesemakers, the BCB members took many first prize positions.

Butler’s Farmhouse Cheeses were top of the pile, taking seven first prizes, including the award for best Creamy Lancashire and best Double Gloucester.

Wensleydale Dairy Products and Dairy Crest both took four awards, and Belton Cheese took three.

Nigel White, secretary of the BCB, said: “The cheese industry is currently producing a superb variety of high quality products and it’s great to see our members doing so well.”
