The agency brands division of Unwins Wine Group has changed its name from Phillips Newman to Birchwood. This is part of a long-term strategy to develop the division, while Unwins md Philip Wetz and group purchasing director Richard Vaughan Hawkins have become joint mds of Birchwood. Giles Wood remains as sales and marketing director. He said: "We are still part of the leading family business in the UK drinks trade, but we have been given a clearer focus for our suppliers and our customers. From a small portfolio of agency brands we now represent wineries and spirits producers from across the world." {{DRINKS }}
