A new Spanish grape variety is being offered to UK supermarkets for the first time this summer, following successful trials.
The fruit is an early cropping, seedless, reddish pink variety called Ralli. Its production is controlled under licence in Europe by Production Agricolas Especiales, part of the AMC group.
While the majority of the grape's 100 hectares production is planned in Spain, there are also vineyards in Greece with plans to develop in Chile and South Africa to give year-round continuity.
