BRL Hardy is planning to move another Australian wine brand to the top of the UK market. It intends to follow the success it has had with the Stamp and Banrock Station ranges with a premium collection from western Australian winery Houghton. The collection currently features Shiraz, Chardonnay, Verdelho and Classic Dry White, and Hardy is strengthening it with the addition of a Cabernet Shiraz Merlot (rsp: £7.49) and a Cabernet Sauvignon (rsp: £6.99). Brand manager Jo Grainger said: "Houghton has a huge amount of potential in the UK market. Its success has been built on quality, consistency and flavour and the appeal of unusual grape varieties in the range such as Verdelho. It will appeal to discerning drinkers looking for a premium wine." {{DRINKS }}
