Butcombe Brewing Co is moving into low & no for the first time with a low-alcohol IPA.
Its Goram IPA Zero, (<0.5% abv) which mirrors its original Goram IPA recipe, is billed as “an easy-to-drink refreshing ale”.
Named after one of Bristol’s legendary giants, Goram IPA Zero is touted as having all the flavours of a regular IPA but without the alcohol.
It was made with “a punchy blend of English, US and New Zealand hops which balance stone fruit, citrus and bitter notes”, said the brand.
The drink has rolled out in 330ml bottles (rsp: £14.45/12x330ml).
“The no & low market is only going to grow in popularity as consumers demand more choice”, said Liberation Group brewing & distribution MD Marc McGuigan.
“It’s important for us as an award-winning brewery to ensure we’re part of this growing trend and create innovative products we know our customers are going to love,” McGuigan added.
It comes after the Bristol business gave its portfolio a makeover in June last year, in a bid to appeal to younger drinkers.
