Fox’s Glacier Mints and Paynes Poppets owner Big Bear Confectionary has pledged to bring a raft of NPD to market over the coming year.

The business said its brands still enjoyed strong recognition - particularly by older consumers who remember the ‘fox and the bear’ Fox’s Glacier Mints TV ads - but was now looking to target a “new generation”.

Backed by a £500,000 spend, activity will include new pack designs and NPD such as the extension of Poppets into the popcorn market from next month. A new kids’ confectionery range launches in April.

Marketing will include social media, sponsorship, on-pack promos and competitions.
