Jenks Brands has added a fifth variant to its N’eat range of natural vegan snack bars.
Cacao, Coconuts & Chia Seeds will join Blueberries & Chia Seeds, Red Berries & Quinoa, Apricots, Chia Seeds & Pumpkin Seeds, and Bananas, Chia Seeds & Multi Seeds when it lands on shelf in As Nature Intended later this month (rsp: £1/45g).
N’eat launched last year, sourcing all its ingredients from ethical and sustainable farms. The brand has signed on as a business partner of the charity Orangutan Appeal UK, which supports wildlife ecosystems currently devastated by deforestation for the mass production of palm oil.
An increasing number of consumers were looking for ethical and responsibly sourced snack products that were palm oil-free, said Jenks Brands MD Anthony Jenks, who was “appalled to see the destruction of the forests” on a recent visit to Malaysia. “I am not alone in this concern,” he added.
N’eat was set to be supported with sampling and PR, with the Orangutan Appeal partnership acting as “the focus of our activity”.
