Unilever has extended its Tresemmé haircare brand with a range designed to tap into the trend for messy, wavy-looking locks.
Tresemmé Perfectly Undone, rolling out now across the major supermarkets, comprises seven products – ‘weightless’ shampoo and conditioner (rsp: £4.99); wave-creating foam; sea salt and ‘dry defining’ sprays; root-lifting texturizing ‘dust’; and an ‘ultra brushable’ hairspray (rsp: £5.50).
Each product had been designed to help consumers achieve the fashionable “wavy undone” style with minimal effort, said brand manager Joe Assheton.
“The undone look is currently a popular style and we recognise there is a strong consumer demand for products that achieve this result”, he said, adding the range would help create styles from “boho and beach to Hollywood” at home.
Unilever is supporting the NPD with a multimedia push that kicks off next month, including TV.
