Tesco has launched a dairy website to promote the nutritional benefits of milk, featuring the work of its dedicated milk supply group, the Tesco Sustainable Dairy Group.

Hosted on the Tesco Real Food website, there will be a section for Tesco shoppers and a separate password-protected section for Tesco’s dairy farmers.

The site will host a blog by a Tesco dairy farmer’s daughter, Jo North, and there will be video footage showing the journey of milk from farm to fridge. There will also be recipes and interactive games for children to highlight the health benefits of milk and to teach them about dairy farming.

Customers wanted to know more about how Tesco supported British dairy farmers and the site would “bring to life” Tesco’s work with the dairy industry, Tesco director of dairy Sean McCurly said.

“This new website is a great source of information for customers on what makes Tecso milk better and why milk is an important part of a healthy diet.”
