No large carryovers say salmon suppliers

Several North American salmon suppliers have warned UK importers that reports of large carryover stocks are without foundation. Only small quantities of skinless and boneless salmon, compared with the traditional skin and bone pack, had been carried over from last season as a result of three new Alaskan packers coming on board. Salmon suppliers are also pessimistic about the volumes from this year's red run. "We are seeing serious disruptions to fishing patterns around the world due to higher water temperatures," said one source in Seattle.
