Austrian dairy giant Nom is behind Tesco's new range of 100% British yoghurts, it has emerged.

Tesco announced the launch of the range, which it said would be made using 100% British milk, last week but would not be drawn on who would be producing the yoghurts.

But yoghurt packs that have started rolling into stores state that the range is made by Nom Dairies.

Nom's parent company is based in Austria but the company has dedicated operations in the UK.

Tesco and Nom did not comment.
