Austrian dairy giant Nom is stepping up its assault on the UK yoghurt market by giving its branded range a fresh look and ad campaign.

The yoghurt maker, which has made no secret of its desire to take on market leader Müller, is rolling out new packaging for all its branded yoghurts and drinks in an attempt to gain more listings.

Nom Naturally Creamy becomes simply Creamy, while Nom Naturally Light is renamed De-light. Probiotic drinks Nom Friendly, previously Naturally Active, and Nom Favourites multipacks, previously Naturally Good, complete the range.

Launched in the UK last May, the range is made at Nom's £60m Shropshire factory, and is currently for sale in Morrisons, Iceland and selected Spar retailers and foodservice outlets.

"We are taking Nom to the next level in the UK market and believe our fresh look will really attract consumers at point of sale," said Nom UK CEO David Potts.

Nom's own-label products are also sold in most of the major multiples.
