Norbert Dentressangle is set to become a €10bn business by 2018 if it maintains its current rate of growth.
The transport and logistics business, which operates in 26 countries, currently has sales of €4bn. Head of its UK food business unit Dan Myers told The Grocer turnover could more than double in the next five years.
The company said it would target new areas with tactical and strategic acquisitions in regions including Brazil and Chile, as it looks to develop a strong foothold in emerging markets.
“Our customer portfolio offers major organic growth potential, which can be realised by providing complementary services and supporting our customers in new markets,” said Myers. “And, following the restructuring of our debt late last year, we are well-placed to pursue further acquisition opportunities.”
He added: “Our ambition is always to be the supplier of choice for our customers. To achieve this we need to expand our geographic footprint so we can accompany our customers wherever in the world they are. We are confident we can double the size of the business in the medium term.”
