New Zealand apple growers are encouraging Brits to enjoy "life's simple pleasures" with a marketing and sampling campaign to ­promote their apples.

The Simple Pleasures campaign involves 'guerilla sampling', with postcards carrying inspirational messages handed out in the street and at events, as well as a sampling programme in Tesco stores.

Growers have also launched an extensive ­social media campaign through Facebook and Twitter encouraging consumers to share their favourite simple pleasures.
