New Zealand Lamb is looking to firmly establish itself as an expert in halal production with the launch of a new booklet.

The document, ‘New Zealand Lamb: A Halal Supplier of Expertise and Repute’, is aimed at the catering industry as well as butchers and meat suppliers.

The country is one of the largest exporters of halal sheepmeat and supplies more than 100 countries worldwide.

The booklet, written in English, Urdu and Arabic, covers a variety of topics, from New Zealand farming practices to the Muslim diet and the standards followed by the country for the practice of halal slaughter.
