Ocado has outlined plans to sell through Facebook as the online grocer builds closer ties with the social networking site.
Ocado shoppers can already buy ingredients from cookery website BBC Good Food and shop for products on selected branded websites.
It now has Facebook in its sights. “At some point, we want to make it possible for customers to shop on Facebook,” said an Ocado spokeswoman.
Ocado is currently busy building closer links with Facebook - a process it describes as “reducing friction”.
Ocado’s customers will be able to ‘like’ products on Facebook, and Ocado recently made it possible for shoppers to use its site with a Facebook log-in.
