Based in Liverpool, the company produces canned and frozen speciality seafood products, including whelk, salted cod, and crab sold worldwide under its brand and own label.
It is in early negotiations to produce a range of speciality fish dishes under the brand of a TV chef.
The move on to PLUS is preceded by a £600,000 fundraising exercise to expand fish production facilities and boost marketing activities in Europe, North America and Asia. It is a major supplier of whelk to South Korea, where it is considered a luxury food.
It also plans to make some strategic supply chain acquisitions and is introducing a new range of "pouched fish products".
This process sees fish products poached in metalised bags and is supposed to improve flavour and cut environmental damage.
