The Complete Interactive Wine Tasting Course (rsp: £35.50) by Taste of the Vine is aimed at beginners and those who think they are experts.
It is designed so wine merchants can promote their products and a wooden gift box is available to hold up to three of a retailer’s wines. “It can be a bespoke product for retailers,” said Taste of the Vine MD Francis Gimlett. “We can tailor it to their branding and rewrite software to contain details of their wine if requested. Retailers can also send out updates to users.”
The course includes quizzes and interactive visuals, such as a virtual chateau and wine cellar.
“The cellar fills up as you improve your knowledge and once it is full you have finished the course,” said a spokeswoman.
