Bargain Booze has posted a 3.9% increase in full-year sales to £395.3m.

But pre-tax profits at the off-licence chain slipped 7.7% to £11.5m in the year to 30 April.

Writing in the company’s accounts, recently made available at Companies House, the directors of Bargain Booze said they were “satisfied” with the performance.

“The company displayed continued turnover growth and the franchised estate continued to grow in numbers, underlying the attractiveness of the franchise proposition,” they said.
