It'll be turkey, sprouts, mince-pies... and prawns on the menu this Christmas if seafood specialist Young's has its way.

The company is launching what it claims are the first omega-3 prawns, backed by a £1m advertising campaign with the strapline 'If it's not Young's, it's not Christmas'.

Young's Best Ever Prawns had the highest omega-3 content of any coldwater prawn on the market, said Young's.

They had been sourced from the Gulf of St Lawrence in Canada, where the sea water's high mineral content ensured they were naturally rich in omega-3, it said.

They would be promoted as part of the Christmas campaign, which would highlight festive uses of the prawn and scampi range, it added.
