While other dotcom marketplaces have gone to the wall, online freight marketplace Freight Traders has gone from strength to strength, cutting deals with Kellogg, Lever Fabergé, Mars, Sainsbury and a raft of other food industry giants, said md Garry Mansell. Volumes at the one year old Mars subsidiary are expected to increase "four or fivefold" this year. Freight Traders enables shippers to allocate freight and carriers for transport across the UK, continental Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. This year, the company has introduced a function enabling shippers sharing routes with half empty trucks to buy freight together. {{NEWS }}
