A new app designed to help independent convenience stores drive sales and profitability is aiming to reach 10,000 users in the next year.
My Perfect Shop, from Liverpool-based The Mothership Group, rewards c-store operators with up to £100 a month for stocking “the right range of products” based on market insight.
About 900 independents have downloaded the app on Apple and Android devices since the October launch, with a preliminary five key manufacturers signed up that pay a monthly fee providing incentives.
These include The Weetabix Food Company, Kettle Chips, Birds Eye and Burton’s Biscuit Co.
“It’s about engaging with retailers and brand owners to give retailers more information on the right range of products to drive sales and profitability,” said The Mothership Group sales director Katherine Parkin.
Retailers can upload a copy of their invoice as proof or take a photo of an in-store display and get rewards via PayPal in the form of vouchers.
“This initiative is good for shoppers, retailers, wholesalers and suppliers, and we are excited to see it drive sales,” said Weetabix business unit controller Daryl Burgess.
