Grocery comparison site MySupermarket has signed up Poundstretcher as a retail partner, taking the total number of retailers available on its site to 14.
From this week, the site’s five million monthly users will be able to browse the prices of 1,176 Poundstretcher products on the site. These will include 327 food and drink products, on which shoppers can compare prices with existing retail partners including Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury’s.
But Poundstretcher would be an offline partner, meaning shoppers won’t be able to buy its products online, MySupermarket said.
MySupermarket said the move would help provide “transparency for all shoppers” when planning their grocery shops.
Poundstretcher is the second discount retailer to join MySupermarket after Aldi, which is also an offline partner. The company said it aimed to have “another key retailer” on the site this year, but did not reveal which one.
