Had there been many requests for own label versions? Parkinson said: "A lot of organic products are very niche lines and it takes a mainstream brand to lead and build the market." Own label and organic are not mutually exclusive, he agreed, but there is a price difference ­ either the consumer must pay or it must come out of retailer margins.
