The Organic Trade Board is working on a business plan to increase organic sales by £1bn by 2015.

OTB, which was originally set up in 2007 as a 'voice for the organic industry' and is supported by the Soil Association, will unveil its vision at a conference in September.

"With the right holistic yet simple message that conveys the main attributes of organic within food and non-food categories, consumers will be targeted and reminded of the benefits of buying organic," said OTB trade consultant Finn Cottle.
