Atkins is overhauling its snack bars in a bid to cash in on recent positive publicity for the low-carb eating plan. The diet hit headlines again when a four-year study in the US revealed that people on a low-carb diet lost 40% more weight than those on a low-fat diet. Now, two new flavours, Almond Cranberry and Chocolate Hazelnut Crunch, are joining the portfolio, which has been reformulated by cutting sugar and refined carbohydrates levels. The packaging has also been updated.
