Procter & Gamble is recalling 120,000 bottles of its Vicks Sinex nasal spray after traces of bacteria were found in the product.

Traces of the B cepacia bacteria were found at a German plant in Gross Gerau. Bottles from the plant were shipped to the UK and US as well as being distributed in Germany.

The bacteria can cause serious infections for people with lung problems, although P&G said no illnesses had been reported and the recall was entirely precautionary.
