Patak's is flowing out of the cooking pot and on to the table with the launch of a range of condiment sauces.

Rolling out now, the new range is positioned as an accompaniment to barbecues and everyday meals, as a side-of-plate option or a dipping sauce, as well as a marinade.

The five flavours come in 180ml bottles, with an rsp of £1.19. Mint & Coriander is a mild variant, Tandoori BBQ, Spicy Tomato and Tangy Fruit are all medium strength, while Kashmiri Chilli is the hot option.

Fiona Mannion, group director, marketing, said the range brought an authentic Indian presence to the mainstream condiment sauce fixture: "Now consumers can add a dash of Indian flavour to even the most conventional meals or snacks."

She added that speciality sauces and marinades were performing "extremely well" compared with the rest of the sector, with the highest year-on-year growth in value.
