Bain Capital, the private equity owners of foodservice giant Brakes, has shaken up the directorship of Brakes’ parent company Cucina Lux.
Michel Plantevin, an MD with Bain, resigned his directorship on 31 December 2011, it emerged this week. He was replaced by operating partner Stuart Gent on 3 January.
Stefan Barden left the company in January following a management restructure, which removed his position of UK chief executive.
In the year to 31 December 2010, the most recent results available, pre-tax losses at Cucina Lux increased by 37% to £93.7m. Global sales rose by 15.5% to £2.21bn, largely propelled by acquisitions.
