Tesco’s outgoing executive director of corporate and legal affairs, Lucy Neville-Rolfe, has been elected as the new president of business lobbying group EuroCommerce.
Neville-Rolfe, who was recently revealed to be stepping down from the retailer, among a host of senior management changes, will take up the three-year-mandate in July.
“I am passionate about European business and am looking forward to getting started,” she said. “If we are to establish sustainable growth in Europe, it is crucial that large and small businesses work collaboratively together so that we can achieve outcomes that benefit us all.”
Neville-Rolfe joined Tesco from the Cabinet Office in 1997, having previously held a number of senior government positions, including at the policy unit at Number 10 Downing Street.
