Zetar chairman David Williams will leave the confectionery and snacks business after the summer.
Williams, whose background was in finance and start-up businesses, has been chairman of the group since its formation in 2005.
“David was one of the sparks that made Zetar happen,” said Zetar chief executive Ian Blackburn.
“He has been very supportive over the past seven years and we are all very appreciative his contribution.”
Williams will step down at the AGM on 1 October. Zetar has begun interviewing for his replacement.
Today Zetar reported a 17.5% drop in pre-tax profits to £5.5m for the year to 30 April.
