Campbell's UK has promoted Tim Perman to the role of MD for the UK and Ireland.

Perman was previously UK marketing director for Campbell's, having joined the company in 2002 from Clairol. Campbell's said that Perman had significantly increased investment in marketing spend on Campbell brands.

He replaces Mark Alexander, who was promoted to president of Campbell's Asia Pacific.

Annie Neil, category marketing director for soup, replaces Perman. She joined Campbell's in 2003 from HP Bulmer and has been responsible for building its Batchelors snacking brands.

Meanwhile, Campbell's has also promoted Martin Brewis to UK sales director. He headed a team responsible for the launch of V8 juices in the UK.

The appointments come days after Campbell's said it was considering selling its UK and Ireland businesses.
