Diageo (DGE) has announced the appointment of Kathryn Mikells as its new chief financial officer.

Mikells was previously CFO at Xerox Corporation and will start her role on 9 November.

She replaces former CFO Deirdre Mahlan who was named as Diageo’s head of North America in June and will now step down from the board.

Mikells has been at Xerox since May 2013 and has also worked in a number of senior finance roles at global consumer companies including United Airlines, where she has spent the majority of her carerr and was CFO between 2008 and 2010.

Kathryn has the experience of working with teams to drive disciplined performance management which will contribute to the achievement of our performance ambition.
