Camp was managing director at Chewits manufacturer Leaf UK for five years and oversaw the transfer of its sales and distribution operations to confectioner Bendicks.
The 49-year-old Londoner started his career at Cadbury, before holding various commercial management positions at Premier Foods and becoming marketing director at Burton’s Foods.
Camp will oversee the group’s expansion, which already has an estimated turnover of £200m. Organic growth and further acquisitions are “a distinct possibility in the near future”, according to the company.
“My varied experience of the UK grocery sector will stand me in good stead for leading the company forward and I believe the paper category in particular is one of the most interesting in the marketplace,” he said.
