Organic giant Hain Celestial UK has created 65 new jobs at its Linda McCartney vegetarian food factory in Norfolk, a year after acquiring the brand.
The manufacturer invested £1m in a relaunch of the Linda McCartney range earlier this year and new packaging, recipes and a focus on natural ingredients have stimulated sales growth. This has prompted Hain Celestial to double the number of production staff at the plant in Fakenham, Norfolk.
About half the products made there are in the Linda McCartney range but the factory, which Sir Paul McCartney visited only last week, also produces meat-free products under the Ross brand.
"The fact that we have been able to create these new positions is great news for the local economy and demonstrates our commitment to Fakenham," said Graham Trevor, head of HR at Hain Celestial UK. "It also reflects our confidence in the future of the Linda McCartney brand."
