What was your first job? Press officer at Guinness World Records. I travelled to Atlanta to adjudicate the world’s biggest Easter egg hunt.

What’s been your worst job interview? I had an awkward phone interview while I was still working for P&G and used a lot of acronyms and ‘P&G-isms’. I don’t think the guy really understood what I was talking about.

What was the first music single you bought? Smash hit single All For Love by Bryan Adams, Rod Stewart and Sting.

How do you describe your job to your mates? ‘I do advertising for brands in shops.’

What is the most rewarding part of your job? The people. From watching the team develop in their careers, to building relationships with clients - it’s the day-to-day interactions with everyone I enjoy the most.

What is the least rewarding part? It’s frustrating when a client has a certain type of attitude towards agencies.

If you could change one thing in grocery, what would it be? Getting brands and retailers to work more closely to develop their communications to shoppers. Too many times small negotiations on listings and fees get in the way of a proper joined-up plan that would create more mutual value.

What is your motto in life? Smile in the face of adversity and do what needs to be done.

If you were allowed one dream perk, what would it be? A racing car for a company car. I’ve always loved F1 and was a keen go-karter as a kid.

Do you have any phobias? I don’t love heights, but I went skydiving recently, so am making progress.

What animal most reflects your personality? A springer spaniel. Always busy and full of energy but kind at heart.

What’s your favourite film and why? The sensible answer is Fight Club. Otherwise, Top Gun - because who doesn’t want to be Maverick?

What has been the most embarrassing moment in your life? Being the star of a TV ad as a kid. I was 10 years old at the time but the ad kept running for nearly 10 years.

Which celebrity would you most like to work with and why? Roger Federer - he’s very much at the top of his game and I admire his character.
