Street joined Imperial from GlaxoSmithKline in 2003 and has since held posts as national account manager, brand group manager and head of trade marketing.
The latest appointment follows a string of staff changes at Imperial, which restructured its management team in April to create three new channel head positions: head of convenience, head of grocery and head of distributive and vending.
Street will replace Cameron Miles, who held the position for three months before moving on to a project manager role.
"It is a vital part of my remit to maintain the strong support network we have put in place with the multiples as the category moves towards a potential tobacco display ban and other challenges," Street said.
