Unilever has added ­pre-treaters to its Persil Capsules, doubled the strength of its capsules and repositioned the range ­under the Small & Mighty banner.

The new Persil Small & Mighty capsules range, ­rolling out now with a £3m marketing push, features a new formula, which Unilever claims offers the extra cleaning power of ­pre-treaters in one ­capsule.

"This, combined with the fact that we are moving from two round capsules per wash to a single rectangular capsule, will deliver against these consumer ­demands for a modern and effective product that is quick and easy to use," said Persil brand manager Kelly Scorah.

Available in 10 and 20 wash packs in bio, non-bio and colour (rsp: £ 3.81 and £7.15 respectively), the ­relaunched range has also been given a new look to highlight its Small & Mighty branding.
