Britain’s pet owners could be keeping their canines cool this summer with an ice cream-style treat for dogs.
Officially launching at Cruft’s next week, tubs of Billy+Margot (rsp: £2.99) come in strawberry & apple and apple, banana & carrot flavours.
It contains no milk as some dogs have trouble digesting dairy products, but is primarily fruit-based and flavoured with vegetable purées.
“Dogs need exercise and a healthy diet and, like humans, can enjoy a treat from time to time,” said Billy+Margot founder Marie Sawle.
Nestlé, which last year launched iced dogs treat Frosty Paws Bites in the US, said it had no plans to bring the product to the UK.
