Traditionalists may call it a travesty, but Quality Meat Scotland has come up with a healthier haggis that has 70% less salt and 35% less satfat than average.

It was launched at Glenshee ski resort by Katharine Brown, former Miss Scotland and Miss UK 2010.

The haggis, made by Glasgow-based Charcuterie Continental, is part of a project to create healthier alternatives to eight traditional Scottish foods.
