Sales Information Resources shows sales of £5m for the brand in the year ending March 24, 2002 across multiple grocers. Frozen ready meals are at £516m, up 2.7% year-on-year. The company says "Findus Feeling Great! is only a year old this July, but its launch heralded a breakthrough for Findus. Since then, it has sold more than six million packs and sales have already exceeded £10m. It has been backed by £8m of marketing support, which will continue throughout 2002. The brand already accounts for more than 15% of the healthy, frozen ready meals market and we expect it to continue to grow. The brand's success is partly down to its unique offering. Nowadays people demand more from food and Findus Feeling Great! allows them to eat well without spending too much time preparing their meal. It has also proven ideal for people wanting a healthy lunchtime alternative to sandwiches and this has been supported by our own research into lunchtime eating habits.
