Available next month, the newcomers each contain pieces of a major ingredient ginger for the Digestives and hazelnut in the HobNobs. Their 300g roll packs retail at 79p and 89p respectively.
The Digestives brand has previously extended into dark, milk and orange chocolate-covered lines, but there has been no addition to the original plain version.
HobNobs, launched in 1985, has also seen milk and plain chocolate-coated varieties, but the caramel and hazelnut combination will be its first plain variant.
Sales director Martin Perkins believes the two newcomers will add incremental value to the £280m everyday biscuit sector.
Both will benefit from the McV brand's £10m marketing spend this year, with activity centred on the Make yourself at home' TV campaign.
